Why
not customise and print your own photo greetings
cards? The process is easy, and you can use your digital images to create
cards for birthdays, Christmas, invitations or birth announcements, etc. It's
a great way to keep in touch with people and share your digital images at the
same time.
There
are a huge range of cards available to have printed online, simply upload your
images to the website (as you would if you were sharing your photos online); select
which photos to use and choose from the styles and sizes of cards available.
Greetings cards normally come in packs together with envelopes, and postcards
can be printed with a blank reverse or using the traditional postcard style on
the back.
Include your own personal greeting inside the cards or on the reverse of the postcards. They're inexpensive and fun.
PhotoBox Cards & Stationery offer an ever-developing range of photo cards at a cost that goes down the more cards you buy! Just upload your photos to the Photobox site and you can send cards as... Business Cards, Invitation Cards, Announcement Cards, Slimvites (small invitational cards), Photo Notebooks, Designer greeting cards, Photo greeting cards and, of course, Postcards.
When I last checked out the service - which has changed, and improved a lot since - they were offering a a choice of individual A6 deluxe greeting cards where you can add your photo, your own text and a themed border if you wish. You could even donate money to charity when you ordered (the more you order the cheaper they get). And their postcards allowed you to add a personal message and are printed with a white border.
I know that the service will soon incorporate Greetings by Photobox too, which offers designer personalised greetings cards. And this service offers the following benefits...
- You create it, they print and post it!
- Add personal photos & messages inside your card.
- Send cards direct
or send to yourself for signing.
- Create reminders so you never miss an
important date.
- Save contact details in your own personal address book.
- Great customer service support on the phone and by email.
All in all, I think Photobox is a service to definitely check out! Prices seem competitive, too, and you get volume reductions. (The website can be a bit slow, though, unless you're using the Firefox browser!)
