How to create and print a photo calendar

Simply upload your favourite images, select the type of calendar you prefer, add your photos to each page using the digital photo software provided by the website (add captions too) - it's as simple as that.

Below are what we think are the best sites to create a photo calendar, (but there are many other gifts you can create such as Canvas Prints or Framed Digital Photos).

PhotoBox. This really is a great site, and Photobox are always extending their products as they have done with their calendars. Their Poster Calendar is a fantastic way to display your images. The large format with black pages makes an elegant calendar and you can either use one large image or several smaller ones on each page.

Their 12-page calendars come in A4 or A3 formats and you can add captions and your own special dates, such as birthdays. Order several to obtain good discounts and you have presents for all the family. There are also desktop calendars and very reasonably priced 1-page, A4 or A5 calendars.

Fotoinsight. This nicely designed site with good images shows off the products very well. They have an excellent choice of 4 different types of calendars: decorative, photo, desktop and desk planner. The desktop calendar is particularly nice, it has 12 individual pages printed on black and displayed in a silver holder. You can use their website to upload images or download Free Windows Calendar Software.

Kodak Gallery only offer one size – a spiral bound wall calendar – but you can choose from 12 background designs and have a choice of four photo layouts for each page (one photo or a group of photos). You can add your own captions too, and there's no software to download.

Bonus Print have three variations on wall calendars plus two desktop calendars. You can add birthdays, special occasions and captions to their Standard and Landscape styles. Except for their Quick Wall Calendar, you do have to download their software (Windows 2000, XP and above).

myPIX have an A4 wall calendar and a smaller desktop calendar both spiral bound and with 12 pages to fill with your photos.

Snapfish offer Classic and Premium 12-page wall calendars. You can choose from different page layouts and place up to three photos for each month. It's possible to add captions to dates and the really nice touch is that you can add images to dates too, so add a portrait photo to someone's birthday.

Bags of Love have two basic wall calendars in A4 and A3 sizes printed on quality 160gsm paper, and you don't have to register to use the service. At the time of writing they have a special offer of a free calendar if you order two identical calendars.
